The Flip-Flop Stop at Beachy Keen is our bring-your-own-RV site in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Pull in, hook up, kick off the flip-flops, and settle into your own easy Gulf Coast home base.
We offer nightly, weekly, monthly and extended stays, with rates that vary by season and holidays. Choose your dates to see current pricing and availability, or reach out to us directly if you’re planning a longer stay.
The site includes 30/50-amp service, water, sewer, and utilities, plus the outdoor extras that make camping feel a whole lot more like vacation. You’ll have a private fire pit, Adirondack chairs, picnic table, large shade umbrella, and BBQ grill ready for morning coffee, seafood dinners, evenings by the fire, and doing absolutely nothing productive.
Guests also have access to the community swimming pool, fenced dog park, playground, clubhouse, shower and laundry facilities, all just a short stroll away.
Whether you're coming for a beach weekend, a Gulf Coast road trip, a longer getaway, or a seasonal stay, Beachy Keen gives you a comfortable place to park, relax, and enjoy the coast without giving up the convenience of your own RV.
BEFORE YOU BOOK — RV REQUIREMENTS
Because Beachy Keen is located inside an established RV community, all campers must meet community requirements before arrival.
Your RV must be:
A self-contained recreational vehicle designed for camping
In good, clean, and presentable condition
Able to properly connect to the site’s electric, water, and sewer hookups
Properly registered and roadworthy
Free from major exterior damage, excessive rust, tarps, temporary repairs, or other conditions that may not meet community standards
Guests may be asked to provide the year, make, model, length, and a current exterior photo of the RV before the reservation is finalized.
Tent camping, converted utility trailers, makeshift campers, or RVs that do not meet community standards are not permitted.
BRING THE PUPS!
Beachy Keen is pet friendly, but all pets must meet community requirements.
Maximum of 2 pets per RV
40-lb maximum per pet
Pets must remain leashed and under their owner’s control
Pet waste must be picked up immediately
Dogs may not be tethered or tied outside the RV
Excessive barking, aggressive behavior, or nuisance behavior is not permitted
Pets are not permitted in the pool area, community facilities, or playground
Certain dog breeds are restricted by the community
If you are unsure whether your pup meets the requirements, please contact us before booking so there are no surprises when you arrive.
The community also has a fenced dog park where approved four-legged guests can stretch their legs and burn off a little vacation energy.

Beachy Keen gives you an actual outdoor living space instead of a slab of concrete with commitment issues. There’s room to set up, spread out, kick back, and enjoy being outside without feeling like you’re camping in your neighbor’s lap.
Fire Pit and Picnic Area-Bad Decisions Taste Better Toasted
Grab a seat at the round blue picnic table, pop open the big striped umbrella, and settle in for breakfast, lunch, cards, cocktails, or dinner straight off the grill. Or, pull up an Adirondack chair, light the fire, and prepare to stay outside considerably longer than planned. Marshmallows will be burned, stories will get better with every retelling, and somebody will eventually say, “Okay, seriously, one more and then I’m going to bed.” Sure you are.
Outdoor space- your living room just lost its walls
This is the whole point of Beachy Keen. Adirondack chairs, picnic table, shade umbrella, grill, fire pit, and room to hang out under the Gulf Coast sky. Morning coffee turns into afternoon lounging, which somehow turns into cocktails around the fire. Productivity is not encouraged here.
Resort Pool- Because Your Camper probably didn't bring one
When Alabama turns the thermostat up, the resort-style pool is waiting just a short walk away. Swim, float, lounge, repeat until somebody remembers you came here with an RV.
Laundry and Shower Facilities- Because Camping gets Funky
Resort laundry and shower facilities are just a short walk away. Perfect for longer stays, sandy clothes, wet towels, and that inevitable moment when somebody realizes they packed eleven shirts and two pairs of underwear.
